About Keith
Keith M. St.Aubin was a young 19 year old kid from Sharpstown a southwest Houston suburb. He grew up playing sports, helped take care of his siblings, he had dreams of going to college and one day having a family of his own. Keith is the oldest son of 3 siblings from a working class family.
Until one day, on February 21st 1998, the unthinkable happened. He and a childhood friend went to a local Mardi-Gras celebration in nearby Galveston Texas to blow off a little steam. His life was forever changed when a group of criminal gangsters attacked him. After trying to flee the situation, Keith was left with no choice but to defend himself. In the process 1 of the attackers who was illegally trespassing in our country, died and the others were injured.
Rather than a cut and dry self - defense, Keith was convicted of the highest degree of murder and sentenced to 5 separate life sentences, which is basically equivalent a death sentence at the ripe age of 19 years old. Keith has been in prison going on 27 years and with his back against the wall has been fighting tooth & nail to right the wrong and get back to his loved ones.
Keith St.Aubin had to place his faith in the U.S. justice system to vindicate him from any wrong - yet quickly found that a prosecutor with a vendetta matters more than the truth. Keith went to Galveston to have fun, but never saw his family again for protecting himself. He never imagined this could happen to him and definitely doesn't wish for it to ever happen to anyone else.
